Solar Panels
Solar Panels are arrays of photovoltaic cells that are enabled to convert photons of the sun into usable electricity. When the solar cells are exposed to sunlight, the p-n junction diodes convert the energy from sunlight into usable electrical energy. The energy that is generated from photons striking the surface of the solar panel allows electrons to be released, and electric fields in the solar cells pull these free electrons in a directional current, from which metal contacts in the solar cell can generate electricity. The more solar cells in a solar panel and the higher the quality of the solar cells, the more total electrical output the solar panel can produce.

An inverter is an electrical device that converts direct current (DC) to alternating current. The The AC current can be channeled for the use of AC appliances in the household or building. Grid tie inverters can feed energy back into the electric grid because they produce alternating current with the same wave shape and frequency as supplied by the distribution system.

Meters and Charge Controllers
A charge controller regulates the rate at which electric current is added to or drawn from electric batteries. It prevents overcharging and may prevent against overvoltage, which can reduce battery performance or lifespan, and may pose a safety risk. It may also prevent completely draining a battery, or perform controlled discharges, depending on the battery technology, to protect battery life.

Mounts and Racking Systems
Mounts are needed to hold your panels whether they are mounted to your roof, or on the ground. Your solar panel mounts and racking will vary depending on where you are installing your solar power system. The adjustable legs which allow you to optimize their vertical orientation for solar exposure.
